Monthly Reflections: May
Welcome to my monthly reflections! I’ve decided to make a little tweak to how I share these reflections as I want a bit more flexibility with what I share each month and to focus on what I feel is the most important stuff for you to know.
This is going to be my journal space, where I share my monthly highs and lows of running my business as a solo founder, whilst navigating life as a girl in her 30s, who loves to not take life too seriously whilst also having existential thoughts most days.
So this is what’s been going on for me in May…
Being a corporate girl again
There’s something I love about commuting and going into an office, I feel so professional! I got to live out my corporate girl dream by spending 3 days in a wealth management company’s office delivering employee coaching in May. The sessions focused on work-life balance and it was such a good reminder that this looks different for everyone!
If it’s something you struggle with these are a few key takeaways that may help you:
How can you implement systems and routines to make your life easier?
Where do you need to set new boundaries?
What can you outsource?
How can you learn to support yourself through stress and overwhelm?

Dreamy week away
I had the MOST relaxing week in Crete – my days consisted of eating, swimming, reading, gymming and napping. I can’t tell you how much I needed this break and to completely switch off. We had some really delicious food and I now feel like I can’t have feta in the UK. Greek feta is on another planet!!
A reminder for me that life gets busy and the months can go by so quickly. Next thing you know it’s been 8 months since you’ve had a proper week off! Reminder to myself to book more holidays and breaks in advance.
Nervous system regulation
If you have been part of my community for a while you will know I have a huge focus on mindset – I find our minds fascinating!! All the things it does, learns, the unconscious mind, the patterns. And from working with hundreds of clients I have seen time and time again how understanding and working with your mind transforms your life. Recently though I have been integrating a lot more nervous system and body focused work into my coaching and it feels like such an important shift. Watch this space as I’m thinking of launching something on this soon…

Baking/cooking/eating
I love cooking and eating, always have since I was a little kid asking to try what was on my mum and dads’ plate. Baking though has become a new past time, and I find it so relaxing! I credit it for my new slower approach to life.
Here are a few recipes I’ve made recently/things I’ve enjoyed eating:
These cookies are SO good!
Another batch of these salted date caramels because they’re delicious!
No recipe but my new obsession – cheese on toast with sliced tomato on the top!!!!
Other
This post from Stefanie Sword-Williams brought tears to my eyes.
I watched Crossroads with my friends the other day and it has to be one of the best movies so nostalgic.
Have a lovely month and I'll see you at the end of June!
